Pat Tarr

I became fascinated with felting about 20 years ago when my daughter became a knitter and spinner and took me to many yarn shops where I discovered the beautiful colours of hand dyed wool and a book on felting. I had painted in water colour and acrylics for many years but became intrigued by the possibilities of working in wool with its wide range of rich colours and textures. My needle felted “paintings”, wearables and vessels are inspired by my travels to beaches, especially in the UK; theAlberta landscape; and my garden. I have participated in exhibits at Framed on Fifth, Ruberto Ostberg Gallery, Blue Rock Gallery in Diamond Valley and online exhibits with the International Felt makers Association.
